On May 7^th 2009, unique operations of benign hypertrophy of prostate (adenoma) and malignant tumor of the bladder using laser equipment were conducted for the first time in Bulgaria at "United Medical Medical center Varna Bregalnitsa". The method is minimally invasive, bloodless, which shortens the patients hospital stay and contributes to a faster recovery. Those types of operations are suitable for patients who cannot be operated using the conventional methods.

The operations were conducted by Orlin Savov M.D. from the Urology Center in Nuremberg, Germany and Tosh Ganev M.D., urologist at "United Medical".

The introduction of these methods makes "United Medical Medical center Varna Bregalnitsa" one of the few clinics in Europe to be applying minimally invasive urological operations.

As operations continue, so does the successful clinic and scientific cooperation between the Urology Center in Nuremberg and "United Medical Medical center Varna Bregalnitsa".
